USC Basketball: Analysts Convinced Isaiah Collier Can Help Improve Returning Star
We just received amazing news that the cause behind Bronny James' cardiac event was discovered and that there is hope he'll be able to make a full return to the basketball court soon. Your USC Trojans' medical staff and basketball program look to support him every step of the way and if he is ale to suit up for them fully healthy this year, it will only make them even deeper.
James should certainly be looking forward to potentially suiting up alongside two of college basketball's best guards in Isaiah Collier and Boogie Ellis. The two already got some minutes together during USC's recent trip to Greece/Croatia and helped lead the way to three straight exhibition wins.
Ellis was able to develop into a natural point guard and leader during his past two seasons with the Trojans but things are a little different ahead of his final season as a member of USC. It is pretty much guaranteed he'll be entering the NBA Draft next year and he will want his stock to be at an all-time high... therefore, it makes sense that he is assuming more of an off-ball role this year and allowing Collier to be the primary ball-handler.
247 Sports analysts Connor Morrissette and Shotgun Spratling also agree that this is the right decision and that Ellis' new offensive role will help his stat sheet.
"Ellis will once again be one of the top scorers in the Pac-12. Not having to be the primary point guard should give him even more open looks," said Morrissette.

"
Boogie Ellis
looked like the player that is going to benefit the most from Isaiah Collier's presence. He was able to play on and off the ball, running two-man games with Collier at times. And Ellis was an absolute assassin from the wing, knocking down nearly 60 percent of his threes," said Spratling.

Expect some very high-scoring games this season from this new duo in Southern California!
