USC Basketball: Insider Believes Legendary NBA Franchise Plans To Draft Bronny James

A family affair.

Bronny James' USC debut on the hardwood remains without a timetable due to a heart condition that derailed his summer.

Though the exciting freshman remains on the sideline, several NBA writers are already projecting his professional future with one obvious team in mind.

"If he declines a $51 million player option, James could be a free agent next summer. The serious health issue that befell his son Bronny over the summer and potentially delayed his entrance into the NBA Draft could be the single biggest factor affecting James' free agency. He would want to be able to play on the same team as his son, if it's possible, but even if Bronny is in the draft (he intends to play at some point this season as a freshman for USC), most observers believe the Lakers will find a way to make sure that happens in Los Angeles."

It's unclear when the elder James will eventually retire but he continues to defy age and logic 21 years into his insane professional career.

Now the oldest player in the NBA, LeBron has little to prove in his career after becoming the league's all-time leading scorer last February.

The Lakers superstar always stated that his eventual goal for the end of his playing days would be to play with his eldest son.

Though Trojan fans can hardly wait for the younger James to debut in the red and gold, the purple and gold may be the ones to hold his NBA future in their hands.

Speculation remains on which NBA team will draft his son, but for Lebron it won't matter so long as he gets to pull off another insane feat from his storied career.
