USC Women's Basketball: Star Freshman Makes Dean's List During First College Semester

In this story:
The USC Trojans women's basketball team is one of the most exciting and best in the nation. They are currently ranked #9 in the NCAAW and have only one loss to the UCLA Bruins.
One of the biggest reasons why the Trojans are so successful has everything to do with freshman phenom JuJu Watkins. Watkins has been lighting up the court since she arrived and is #2 in the nation with 26.1 PPG. She has also surpassed Cheryl Miller with five 30-point games so far this season.
On top of being an incredible player on the court, Watkins is also an amazing student, as she has already made the Dean's List for USC.
We all know Ju can hoop, but I’m equally as proud that she made the dean’s list this semester. One of the best hoopers in the country at one of the best academic schools in the country. She getting to it on and off the court! 📚 🏀 https://t.co/7vE7nbCTT7

Getting good grades is often hard to achieve for the simple fact that college can be tough. To be a good student while focusing on being one of the best basketball players in the country is an even more astounding feat.
Watkins is an inspiration for her constant hard work, and it's amazing the kind of media attention that she has brought to basketball. Her dedication to her studies just goes to show what kind of worth ethic she possesses.
