USC Football: Caleb Williams Mercilessly Shredded After Apparent Bears Diss

Why you'd besmirch the Monster of the Midway is beyond us.

USC Trojans Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Caleb Williams has until January 15th to decide if he wants to explore his final season of college eligibility and forgo this season's NFL draft, but given that he's likely to be a top-two pick this year, color us here at All Trojans as being officially skeptical.

As such, it makes sense that he'd be staying appraised of which NFL clubs seem most likely to select someone at the top of the draft. The Chicago Bears, by benefit of having the 2-13 Carolina Panthers' pick (as well as their own, also bound for a top-10 selection), seem quite likely to net the top overall selection.

The 3-12 Arizona Cardinals, and 4-11 New England Patriots and Washington Commanders are the other clubs with a shot at the highly-coveted top pick. Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr., North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye, and Penn State offensive tackle Olumuyiwa Fashanu are the other players in the running for a top-five pick.

Williams was caught liking a Tweet/X post which voted against selecting Williams as presumably a vote of no confidence in incumbent starter Justin Fields, a former OSU standout.

He's been sufficiently raked through the coals ever since:

Another fan had some harsh words predicting a short pro future for the USC superstar:

One college football appreciator, who to be fair has never been selected by an NFL franchise in the draft (presumably), voiced their frustration with Williams appearing to disrespect Chicago.

Williams has been quite the talent at the college level. He's proven everything he needs to prove. But is that enough for him to exceed in the NFL?
