USC Football: MarShawn Lloyd Will Visit AFC Contender Today

The USC star running back will visit with this AFC South team today.

USC pro day has come and gone, and the players who participated in it did well. The attention was focused on the star quarterback and potential number-one overall quarterback, Caleb Williams.

While Williams garnered all the attention, and rightfully so, others were focused on getting their reps in and shining in front of NFL teams, like junior running back MarShawn Lloyd. Lloyd caught passes from Williams and is doing all he can to raise his draft stock.

Lloyd will be drafted; the only question is 'When?' Many teams will look Lloyd's way, and it could be this AFC South team.

According to our own staff writer, Eva Geitheim, Lloyd stated that he is visiting the Tennessee Titans today.

"It’s been a lot. I actually fly out to Tennessee in the next couple hours … it’s been chaos, but a good chaos."

According to NFL Draft buzz, Lloyd is projected to be a third-round selection. The 23-year-old is coming off a stellar season with the Trojans in what wasn't a great season overall for the team. Nonetheless, Lloyd shined in his lone season as a Trojan, rushing for 820 yards on 116 carries for nine rushing touchdowns; he also recorded 13 receptions for 232 receiving yards.

The Titans currently have four running backs on the roster, including their recent free-agent signing of Tony Pollard from the Dallas Cowboys. While that's the case right now, you could always add to running back depth, especially in the NFL.

Any team Lloyd lands with, he could make an impact with his exceptional acceleration and burst into the secondary levels and beyond. The Titans are a team to look for, but nothing is certain until draft night.
