Deivon Smith Shines in Runnin' Utes Victory Over Colorado

The Huntsman hosted some Pac-12 action as the Utes came out on top against the Colorado Buffaloes, 73-68, while Deivon Smith went home with Player of the Game honors. 

For Utah, Gabe Madsen was the top scorer, going 7/12 from the field and 5/6 from the line for 21 points. Meanwhile, Deivon Smith scored 17 points while also leading the team in rebounds, with 11 boards and assists, dishing out 9 dimes, just one shy of his second career triple-double. 

For Colorado, KJ Simpson led the team in scoring, going 10/22 from the field and 2/2 from the line for 25 points. Eddie Lampkin Jr. led the Buffaloes in rebounds with 10 and assists with 4. 

Despite losing the rebound battle, the performances from Madsen and Smith propelled the Runnin' Utes to their 15th win of the year and 6th conference win. Utah now sits at 15-7 overall and 6-5 in the conference while Colorado drops to 15-7 on the year and 6-5 in the conference. 

Next up for the Utes is a Huntsman Center showdown against 11th-ranked Arizona on February, 8th.
