Utah Stuns #8 Colorado With Buzzer-Beater By Dasia Young

It was another night of tense Pac-12 action at the Hunstman as the Utes hosted one of the best teams in the sport, Colorado.

The Utah women led for the entire game, and at one point, even had a 96.8% chance to win after being up on the Buffaloes 42-24 with 9 minutes left in the 3rd. That was until 8 seconds left in the 4th quarter when Colorado's Aaronette Vonleh sunk a layup to overtake the Utes 76-75.

With one possession left in the game, Dasia Young got the ball on the arc, drove into the paint, and knocked down a heavily contested layup as the clock struck zero, giving the Utes the win as pandemonium took over the entire stadium.

The Utes shot at a 51.8% clip from the field as Alissa Pili came in as the top scorer, going 7/14 from the field and 2/2 from the line for 18 points. Meanwhile, the quickhanded Ines Vieira led the team in rebounds and assists, grabbing 8 boards, and dishing out 7 dimes.

For Colorado, Jaylyn Sherrod was their leading scorer and assister, going 7/15 from the field for 15 points, and dishing out 9 assists, one shy of a double-double. Aaronette Vonleh was the Buffs' leading rebounder, grabbing 6 boards.

With the win, the Lady Utes moved to 19-7 on the year and 9-5 in the conference, while Colorado fell to 20-5 overall and 10-4 in the conference.

Next up for Utah is a trip to Los Angeles where they will face off against #9 UCLA at the Pauley Pavillion on February 22nd.
