After several weeks of speculation, sources have confirmed that Utah offensive coordinator Andy Ludwig will remain with the Utes rather than becoming Notre Dame's next offensive coordinator.

Despite being seen with Notre Dame's coaching staff at various events, ESPN College Insider Pete Thamel confirmed on Monday night that Andy Ludwig will stay at Utah.

Following the fourth season of his second stint with the University of Utah, Ludwig was supposedly the leading candidate for Notre Dame's OC position and appeared to be headed that direction.

However, Thamel also shared that Ludwig's buyout became an "obstacle" in moving forward with the Fighting Irish, and luckily for the Utes, Ludwig will remain in Salt Lake City ahead of Utah's very important and difficult 2023 season.

Since his return in 2019, the Utes are 34-13 overall and have orchestrated back-to-back Pac-12 Championships with Cameron Rising at the helm of Ludwig's offense.

Ahead of arguably their toughest season in program history, this comes as a massive break for Utah who returns the majority of their offensive weapons.
