Jonah Elliss Continues to Rise in Latest CBS Sports Mock Draft

Mock draft season is reaching its peak, especially with the penultimate event of draft season, the NFL combine right around the corner.

Outside of Pro Days, the combine is the last chance for top prospects to prove their worth and raise their draft stock before the big day.

Utah's Jonah Elliss has been incredible at making the most of his opportunities, which has seen him make a meteoric rise up draft boards, especially since his Senior Bowl outing proved that he is the real deal.

Originally projected to be selected in the middle to late third round, over the past few weeks, Elliss has seen his name creep up into the early third and even the late second round as a result of his Senior Bowl performance.

In CBS Sports' latest mock draft, NFL Insider Ryan Wilson has the Las Vegas Raiders selecting the Utah edge rusher all the way up at 44. Pairing Elliss with Maxx Crosby would lead to countless collapsed pockets and ensure longevity in a crucial position for the rebuilding Raiders.

Keep in mind that this is a pre-combine mock draft, meaning that if Elliss continues his momentum and shows out in Indianapolis, the breakout Utes star could very well see his name in the 33-39 pick range in post-combine mock drafts and hopefully on draft day.
