Jonah Elliss Rises in PFF Post Senior Bowl Mock Draft

The 2024 Reese's Senior Bowl has concluded and PFF's Trevor Sikkema and Connor Rodgers have just released their two-round mock draft which includes prolific Utah edge rusher Jonah Elliss.

The 6'2" 246-pound junior out of Moscow, Idaho had himself a breakout season in 2023 racking up 37 total tackles, 3 passes defended, 12 sacks, and 1 forced fumble. As a result, Elliss was already projected as a third round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft but quickly saw his name float towards the end of the second round as mock drafts continued to be created.

After accepting his invitation to the Senior Bowl, the Utah star created yet another opprotunity to see a meteoric rise in his draft stock and he didn't dissapoint. Over the course of the event, Elliss proved that he could back up his impressive 2023 statline and as a result, is now being named towards the middle of the second round.

In Sikkema and Rodgers two-round mock draft, they have the Cleveland Browns selecting Elliss at pick 55 to join the league's best defensive unit led by ACOY favorite Jim Schwartz and DPOY favorite Myles Garrett. Slotting into an aggressive system and crashing the pocket with the NFL's best pass rusher would be an incredible fit for the Ute although this may not be the last time his draft stock rises.
