Former Utah Star Sione Vaki Shows His Dual-Threat Abilities During Senior Bowl

Day 2 of the Reese's Senior Bowl has commenced and Utah's dual-threat star Sione Vaki has been putting his entire skillset on display.

The 2023 season unlocked Vaki's two-way potential as the safety transformed into a running back amid the injury-plagued campaign. Despite only spending 2 seasons at Utah, the 6'0" 208-pound sophomore out of Antioch, California recorded 90 total tackles, 5 passes defended, 2 sacks, and an interception.

He added to those impressive defensive stats by racking up 317 rushing yards on 42 carries, averaging 7.5 yards per carry while also crossing the pylon 2 times. Through the air, Vaki racked up 203 receiving yards on 11 catches, averaging 18.5 yards per reception while adding 3 receiving touchdowns to the stat line as well.

Currently residing around the 140-160 pick range in the latest NFL mock drafts, Vaki will look to use the Senior Bowl to boost his stock, and if he continues to prove his worth as a two-way player, teams will undoubtedly see the utility of his varied skill set.
