Utah DB Miles Battle Declares for the NFL Draft

On Wednesday, senior cornerback Miles Battle has announced his intention to enter the NFL Draft via x.

Battle, who spent three years at Ole Miss before transferring to the University of Utah was an instant impact player for this year's ferocious Utes defense. In his lone season with the Utes, Battle recorded 32 total tackles, 3 passes defended, and 1 interception. Throughout his college career, he racked up 97 total tackles, 19 passes defended, 1 forced fumble, and 3 interceptions.

The 6'4" 205-pound CB out of Houston, Texas will add to the increasing presence of Utah defensive backs in the NFL, joining the likes of Jaylon Johnson, Marcus Williams, Julian Blackmon, Clark Phillips III, as well as Sione Vaki, and Cole Bishop who have also declared for the 2024 NFL Draft.

A towering presence out wide, Battle will provide the team that drafts him the ability to contend with the likes of Tee Higgins and AJ Brown. His height is a coveted commodity in an era where wide receivers are getting taller, stronger, bigger, and faster, and mixed with his ball-hawking ability, he could easily develop into a premier prototype corner and further elevate the prestige of a Utah DB in the pros.
