The Utah Runnin' Utes are looking to bolster their roster in a big way ahead of their first season in the Big 12, and in the process they may be able to land one of their rival's best players.

Following the departure of head coach Mark Pope to Kentucky, BYU is starting to see some attrition from their roster and one of the players in the portal is guard, Dallin Hall. The Ogden, Utah product ranks as a four-star transfer according to 247Sports, and has already generated interest from major programs. According to college basketball insider Travis Branham, Hall has already identified a group of schools that he is considering and the Utes are one of them.

The programs that he is considering include Utah, Clemson, Florida, Creighton, Florida, and a possible return to BYU.

Hall appeared in 34 games this season, starting 30 of them and proved to be one of the best distributors in the country. He averaged 9 points and a team-high 5.1 assists, while also grabbing 3.5 rebounds per game. He shot 42% from the field and 35.9% from deep.

The Utes have already landed a couple of portal players headlined by Gabe Madsen's twin brother Mason, but could use some more high-level guard play to make up for some of their portal losses. With BYU not having a head coach at the moment, the Utes need to make their move while they can.
