Utah's basketball team was able to add a veteran presence from the transfer portal, who also happens to already have a built-in connection with one of the Runnin' Utes.

On Sunday, Boston College transfer Mason Madsen announced his commitment to Utah. Mason is the twin brother of Utah guard Gabe Madsen, and similar to his brother has one final year of eligibility remaining.

They already had played together at the start of their career, as they both went to Cincinnati with Gabe transferring to Utah after his first year and Mason transferring after his second. This past season for Boston College, Mason started 15 games, playing in 36 and averaged 22.6 minutes, 8.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. He shot 40.1% from the field and 37.7% from deep.

He marks the second transfer portal commitment that Utah has nabbed thus far, as they also landed Rice forward Keanu Dawes.
