The 2023 Virginia field hockey schedule was announced this week. In the 18th season under head coach Michele Madison, the Cavaliers will once again play one of the toughest schedules in the country, as nine of their 16 games will come against opponents who qualified for the 2022 NCAA Tournament.

In non-conference play, Virginia will host Penn State, Liberty, Harvard, and Maryland and will travel to play at Saint Joseph's, Temple, William & Mary, Miami (Ohio), and James Madison.

In ACC action, UVA will play road games at Syracuse, Louisville, Wake Forest, and Duke and home games against Boston College, Duke, and North Carolina.  As a note, Virginia's home game against Duke will count towards each team's conference record while the game at Duke will be considered a non-conference matchup.

Virginia will host nine games at the UVA Turf Field in Charlottesville, which will also serve as the host site for the 2023 ACC Field Hockey Championship from October 31st through November 2nd.
