Wahoos Weekly: Previewing the Week Ahead in Virginia Athletics [5/15-5/21]

See the full schedule of Virginia Cavaliers sporting events for the week of May 15th-21st and a preview of the week ahead in UVA athletics. This week, five Virginia sports teams will be in action for a total of seven UVA sporting events.

The Virginia men's golf team is set to play in the Las Vegas Regional of the NCAA Men's Golf Championship from Monday through Wednesday at the Bear's Best Las Vegas course. The top five team finishers from the 54-hole event will advance to the NCAA Championships in Scottsdale.

The No. 5 seed Virginia men's tennis team will face No. 4 seed Kentucky in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Men's Tennis Championship on Thursday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando. The winner of that match will face the winner of No. 1 Texas/No. 9 South Carolina in the semifinals on Friday.

After earning a much-needed three-game sweep over Louisville over the weekend, No. 21 Virginia baseball will wrap up the regular season with a three-game series at Georgia Tech on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in Atlanta.

The No. 2 seed Virginia men's lacrosse team will look to secure a spot in the Final Four when the Cavaliers take on No. 7 seed Georgetown in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday at noon in Albany, New York.

The Virginia women's golf team will compete in the NCAA Championships at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. The 54-hole stroke play runs from Friday through Sunday to determine the top 15 teams that will advance to Monday's final day of stroke play. From there, eight teams will advance to bracketed match play with quarterfinals and semifinals on Tuesday followed by the championship final next Wednesday.
