The Virginia football program has landed a second in-state commitment for the recruiting class of 2024. Benjamin York, a three-star offensive tackle out of Lake Braddock in Burke, Virginia, announced his commitment to UVA on Wednesday afternoon.

A 6'5", 286-pound offensive tackle, York chose the Cavaliers over offers from Old Dominion, Appalachian State, Temple, and others. Virginia was one of the first programs to offer York back in February and he was in Charlottesville for UVA's Junior Day last week.

247Sports rates York as the No. 29 overall recruit in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the No. 77 offensive tackle nationally in the recruiting class of 2024. Watch his junior year highlights here:

York is the first high school offensive line recruit to commit to play for UVA's new offensive line coach Terry Heffernan since he was hired in January. Heffernan also secured a commitment from Dayton offensive lineman Brian Stevens, who transferred to Virginia on March 28th

Benjamin York is the second Virginia native to commit to the UVA football recruiting class of 2024, joining three-star athlete Ethan Minter (Chester, Virginia), who announced his commitment to UVA on March 30th.
