Virginia Has Six Selected as USA Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans

Three-time All-American Connor Shellenberger was named a Preseason First-Team All-American by USA Lacrosse Magazine

Virginia men's lacrosse was represented with six players selected as USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Preseason All-Americans for the 2024 season, which were announced by USA Lacrosse Magazine on Wednesday. UVA was had the second-most preseason All-Americans of any Division I program, trailing only the reigning national champions Notre Dame with seven. 

Senior attackman Connor Shellenberger was named a preseason First-Team All-American, one of four attackmen to make the First Team. Shellenberger has been named a USA Lacrosse All-American every season of his career so far, earning a First-Team nod in 2021. 

Senior defenseman Cole Kastner was named to the Second Team and graduate attackman Payton Cormier and junior midfielder Griffin Schutz were selected to the Third Team. Junior midfielder Noah Chizmar and graduate midfielder Chase Yager (Harvard transfer) were All-American honorable mentions.
