Virginia Lacrosse Moves Up to No. 2 in Latest Inside Lacrosse Media Poll

Virginia men's lacrosse is ranked No. 2 in the latest Inside Lacrosse Top 20 Media Poll released on Monday. The Cavaliers moved up one spot after dismantling North Carolina 19-12 in Chapel Hill on Friday.
There is a new No. 1 team in the country for the fourth-straight week, as Notre Dame reclaimed the top spot after dominating Duke 17-12 in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 matchup on Saturday in South Bend. The Fighting Irish are No. 1, receiving 20 first-place votes, followed by Virginia at No. 2 with two first-place votes, and Duke is No. 3. Notre Dame, UVA, and Duke have now completed the round-robin with Duke beating Virginia, Virginia beating Notre Dame, and Notre Dame beating Duke.

That sets up another high-ranked showdown this weekend as the Cavaliers and Blue Devils meet for the second time in a two-week span. Duke knocked off then-No. 1 Virginia 16-14 on Friday, March 31st in Charlottesville and now, the two ACC rivals will meet again as No. 3 Duke hosts No. 2 Virginia on Saturday at 12pm in Durham.
