Virginia Men's Lacrosse 2024 Schedule Revealed
The 2024 Virginia men's lacrosse schedule was officially unveiled on Monday. UVA's 14-game slate includes eight home games at Klockner Stadium.
Virginia opens the 2024 campaign at home against Michigan on Saturday, February 10th and the Cavaliers will also host Ohio State, Johns Hopkins, Robert Morris, Albany, and Drexel in non-conference play. UVA will travel to play at Richmond, Towson, Maryland, and Harvard in non-conference action as well.
For the first time since 2020, the ACC will hold a tournament at the end of the season to determine the ACC Men's Lacrosse Champion. That means that each ACC team will play each other only once for a total of four regular season conference games, down from the six-game conference schedule the ACC played in each of the last three years. Those four games all come at the very end of the regular season for Virginia, who hosts North Carolina on April 6th, plays at Duke on April 13th and at Syracuse on April 20th, and hosts Notre Dame in the regular season finale on April 27th.
That stretch will be followed immediately by the return of the ACC Tournament, which will be played on May 3rd and 5th at a location that will be announced at a later date. The last time the ACC Tournament was played, Virginia hosted the event at Klockner Stadium and won the 18th conference championship in program history.
The NCAA Tournament begins on May 11th with first round games at campus sites. The quarterfinals will be held on May 18th (Hempstead, NY) and 19th (Towson, MD). Championship Weekend will be held once again in Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field, where Virginia reached the semifinals last May for the third time in four seasons.
