Virginia Ranked No. 3 in USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Top 20

The ACC owns the top three spots, four of the top 10, and all five teams made the USA Lacrosse Magazine Preseason Top 20

Virginia is ranked No. 3 in the USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Preseason Top 20, which was released by UVA Lacrosse Magazine on Wednesday as the result of a poll of USA Lacrosse Magazine staff with input from several college lacrosse coaches. 

Each of the five ACC teams are ranked, including each of the top three and four in the top 10: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Duke, No. 3 Virginia, No. 9 Syracuse, No. 19 North Carolina.

Virginia is scheduled to face eight teams ranked in the Preseason Top 20 in the 2024 season: vs. No. 13 Michigan (Feb. 10), at No. 20 Richmond (Feb. 17), vs. No. 6 Johns Hopkins (Mar. 2), at No. 5 Maryland (Mar. 16), vs. No. 19 North Carolina (Apr. 6), at No. 2 Duke (Apr. 13), at No. 9 Syracuse (Apr. 20), vs. No. 1 Notre Dame (Apr. 27).

Virginia is entering its eight year under Lars Tiffany and is looking to return to Championship Weekend for the fourth time in the last five seasons and 26th time in program history. The 2024 UVA men's lacrosse season will begin on Saturday, February 10th as the Cavaliers host No. 13 Michigan at Klockner Stadium.
