Virginia Women's Basketball Announces 2023-2024 Non-Conference Schedule

The 11-game non-conference schedule for the 2023-2024 Virginia women's basketball season was announced on Tuesday.
The Cavaliers will play eight non-conference home games at John Paul Jones Arena, headlined by major conference battles with Oklahoma (November 19), who qualified for the 2023 NCAA Tournament, and Missouri (November 30) as part of the inaugural ACC/SEC Challenge.
UVA will open the 2023-2024 season at home against Maryland Eastern Shore on Wednesday, November 8th and Virginia will also host Campbell, William & Mary, Rider, Wofford, and Fordham in non-conference play. Virginia's lone true road matchup during non-conference action will be at LaSalle on Sunday, December 3rd in Philadelphia.
Virginia will also participate in the inaugural Cayman Islands Classic, which will be held November 24th and 25th at John Gray Gymnasium on Grand Cayman Island. The two-day tournament will feature a loaded eight-team field that includes six major conference teams, including 2023 NCAA National Champions LSU, 2023 NIT Champions Kansas, 2023 ACC Tournament Champions Virginia Tech, and 11-time NCAA National Champions UConn. The full tournament field is UConn, LSU, Virginia Tech, Kansas, Virginia, UCLA, Niagara, and Tulane. The full tournament schedule and matchups, including UVA's draw in the bracket, will be announced at a later date.
