For a while, a lot of “experts” believed that 2020 4 star WR recruit Gary Bryant Jr. would be a lock for the USC Trojans

You could understand how one might come to that conclusion. Bryant attends Centennial high school in Corona, CA which is just a hop, skip and jump away from USC. He has been on the Southern California campus numerous times during his recruiting process and has developed a relationship with the coaching staff there as well.

The highly coveted wide receiver is a prized recruit who is being sought out by almost every major college football program in the nation. At 5’10, 160 lbs, Bryant may be slight - But when it comes to talent there is nothing slight about this star of the 2020 class. In fact, many recruiting analysts label him as elite... head and shoulders above most other receivers in his class. At “The Opening” football camp this past summer, Bryant posted some incredible numbers - Including a 4.46-second 40-yard dash, a 4.19-second shuttle run and a 38-inch vertical leap.

But don’t be so quick to suit him up in SC’s “gold & cardinal”  just yet!! Bryant says there’s no truth to his reported lean towards USC. “People say that because I live there, and I’ve been there the most,” Bryant said. “But, no, I’m not leaning anywhere. I, honestly don’t know where I’m going. I can’t know until I take my visits.”

At this point, Bryant has already taken his official visit to Oklahoma, Washington and has other officials set up for USC (Nov. 28), and Arizona State (Dec. 3). He will make his official announcement during the Army All-American Bowl on Jan. 4  In San Antonio, TX. Hopefully for Dawg Fans, we will see more photos of Gary Bryant Jr. wearing Purple and Gold in the near future!
