Less than a month away, word out of Corvallis is the Oregon State-Washington football game already is a sellout with only standing-room tickets available, and probably not for long, according to the Portland Oregonian's Nick Daschel.

That means 35,548 seats in the newly remodeled Reser Stadium are spoken for, with OSU ultimately capping spectators at 36,000 for the Nov. 18 game.

While the No. 5 Huskies (7-0 overall, 4-0 Pac-12) will face USC on the road and Utah at home in advance of their Reser visit, some insiders have felt all along that the UW's toughest game on the schedule could be 11th-ranked Oregon State (6-1, 3-1).

Last season, the UW barely beat OSU 24-21 at Husky Stadium, trailing much of the game.

The Beavers have used their new digs to a competitive advantage by capturing all four of their home games so far, which include a 21-7 victory over Utah and 36-24 win over UCLA.

Following its $161 million remodel of the southwest grandstands, Reser Stadium no longer hears anyone calling it a glorified high school facility.

Originally opened in 1953 as Parker Stadium, the football locale was renamed 46 years later after school benefactors Al and Pat Reser, who had 11 OSU graduates in the family, made a seven-digit donation to the school.

Besides the recent upgrades in seating, the stadium over the past seven years has changed out its coaching offices, locker rooms, team room and hall of fame room.
