Jedd Fisch's University of Washington football team priorities are as follows: first stock up on quarterbacks and then replenish the secondary.

On Monday, the new coach, with a full complement of QBs from last week, both old and new, added another piece to the back row of his defense by receiving a commitment from 2024 recruit Rahim Wright, who flipped from Arizona.

Wright is the third defensive back to pledge to Fisch's Huskies, joining junior cornerback Ephesians Prysock, formerly a starter for the Wildcats, and redshirt freshman cornerback Jordan Shaw, who flipped from Arizona after playing last fall at Indiana, where he started twice.

The 6-foot, 170-pound Wright from Rancho Cucamonga, California, had been committed to the Wildcats program since early October, but recently reversed himself and will follow Fisch and his secondary coach John Richardson to Seattle.

Wright fills the scholarship spot held by former UW commit Joshua Lair — a Texas safety who was granted his release following the coaching change from Kalen DeBoer to Fisch.

Although Wright is ranked as a 3-star cornerback recruit by 247Sports, he has the ability to play both safety and nickelback. At Rancho Cucamonga High, he finished with 114 career tackles, 3 forced fumbles and an interception.

Wright will make this decision official to play for the UW when he turns in a national letter of intent during the second signing period, which begins on Feb. 7 and runs through April 1.
