Hatters Walk-Off Mountaineers in Game Three

DeLand, FL - Stetson sophomore Jayden Hylton hit an RBI double in the bottom of the nights to give the Hatters (2-1) a 5-4 walk-off win over the West Virginia Mountaineers (1-2) Monday morning to take a 2-1 series lead.
The Hatters grabbed an early 3-0 lead, posting two runs in the bottom of the first inning and tacking another run in the second.
Sophomore Lorenzo Meola led the game off with a single before West Virginia starting pitcher Hayden Cooper walked the bases loaded. Junior Gio Cueto brought in the game's first run with an RBI single and Mike Handal's sacrifice fly to right field ga the Hatters a 2-0 advantage.
A leadoff double in the second by junior Yohann Dessureault set up the Hatters third run of the morning, following sacrifices from Kyle Jones and Meola.
Grant Hussey put the Mountaineers on the board in the fifth with a solo home run.
West Virginia claimed the lead in the sixth after junior JJ Wetherholt hit a one out single, sophomore Logan Sauve singled to place runners at the corners, sophomore Sam White score Wetherholt after an errant throw on a fielder's choice to third and sophomore Ellis Garcia tied the game with an RBI single and White stole home to give the Mountaineers a one-run lead.
Stetson tied the game in the bottom half of the sixth when Evan Griffis and sophomore Dessureault hit back-to-back doubles.
In the bottom of the ninth and with two out and two on, Jayden Hylton doubled to right field, scoring Meola from second as the Hatters take game three with a 5-4 decision.
