BREAKING: Baylor WR Transfer Decommits from West Virginia

The Mountaineers lose a portal commitment.

Saturday night, West Virginia lost a commitment from Baylor wide receiver transfer Jaylen Ellis.

In three years at Baylor, Ellis recorded five receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown. He was redshirted as a freshman in 2019 and has seen minimal playing time since. As a senior at Cedar Ridge High School in Round Rock, Texas Ellis hauled in 46 receptions for 1,153 yards and 14 touchdowns, earning a US Army All-American Bowl selection.

Coming out of high school, Ellis chose Baylor over the likes of Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado, Houston, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Michigan State, Missouri, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Oregon, SMU, Texas, TCU, UCF, and several others.

Ellis will have two years of eligibility remaining.
