Beanie Bishop Becomes WVU's 13th Consensus All-American

A huge honor for the Mountaineer cornerback.

West Virginia cornerback Beanie Bishop has earned Consensus All-American honors, becoming the 13th player in program history to achieve such status.

Bishop earned Walter Camp – first team, FWAA – first team, AP – second team, Sporting News – second team, and AFCA – second team honors.

He joins Ira Errett "Rat" Rodgers (1919), Bruce Bosley (1955), Darryl Talley (1982), Brian Jozwiak (1985), Mike Compton (1992), Todd Sauerbrun (1994), Aaron Beasley (1995), Canute Curtis (1996), Grant Wiley (2003), Dan Mozes (2006), Steve Slaton (2006), Darius Stills (2020).

Bishop finished the season with 59 tackles, 24 passes defended, 20 pass breakups, 17 forced incompletions,  four interceptions, and 0.5 tackles for loss.
