Garrett Greene Graded as One of the Top QBs in Power Five by PFF

The Mountaineer signal caller is regarded as one of the best in the nation.

West Virginia fans had no idea what to expect from first-year starting quarterback Garrett Greene in 2023. Really, the only thing that folks knew about him is that he was dangerous with his legs and would add a whole new dimension to the offense because of his mobility.

Not only did Greene play admirably well for this first full year as the guy, but he finished the season as one of the highest-graded quarterbacks on Pro Football Focus. His 91.0 grade placed him in a tie for sixth among Power Five QBs alongside Washington's Michael Penix Jr., who was a Heisman Trophy finalist.

Greene also finished with a higher grade than the top two prospects in this year's draft, Drake Maye (North Carolina) and Caleb Williams).

Greene finished the season completing 147-of-277 pass attempts for 2,406 yards and 16 touchdowns to just four interceptions. He also tacked on another 772 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground off of 120 carries. And incase you're wondering, yes, that is the best rushing stat line for a Mountaineer quarterback since Pat White.
