Pat McAfee Sees Big Things Coming for Garrett Greene

The QB battle isn't settled yet, but Pat McAfee likes the potential of the junior Garrett Greene.

West Virginia head football coach Neal Brown hasn't named a starting quarterback for the 2023 season just yet, but most expect Garrett Greene to eventually earn that title.

The junior made program history last season by being a key part in helping West Virginia collect its first win over Oklahoma since joining the Big 12 Conference. In that game, Greene completed 12-of-22 pass attempts for 138 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for 119 yards and two scores on 14 carries.

During a recent episode of The Pat McAfee Show, McAfee raved about Greene's ability and believes he has a big year coming this fall.

"This kid's a dog, bro. He can run, he can throw. He's unbelievable. This guy is a triple threat. You should see him in the classroom. This guy holds everybody accountable. He wears his eye black too I believe. His costume, his makeup, and his ability - I really like the cut of this guy. When he gets on the field, everybody thinks, this guy's got it. Garrett Greene is a guy that when he plays football, EVERYBODY notices. Penn State's about to find out quick. Happy Valley is about to be GG Valley when this m*********** is running through them."
