WVU GM Believes Zach Frazier is a Better Prospect Than Current NFL Starter Was in 2020

Zach Frazier has a bright future ahead in the NFL.

The West Virginia roster is not crammed full of NFL talent, but they just may have the best center in all of college football, Zach Frazier.

Frazier was named a preseason First-Team All-American by Athlon Sports and Second-Team All-American by Walter Camp and Phil Steele. According to Mel Kiper Jr. of ESPN, Frazier is ranked as the third-best center in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Through the first five games of this season Frazier has done nothing but help his draft stock and if he continues to stack good performances together, he could make the case to be the first center off the board next spring.

Recently in an interview with Three Guys Before the Game, WVU football GM Drew Fabianich analyzed Frazier's game and how he is better than one of the players he helped draft when he was with the Dallas Cowboys.

"He plays longer than his length. He looks like he's short-armed and he's really not. He's 32 5/8". Smart. Physical. Great quickness. He needs to stay in contact at the second level better. His feet need to follow his hands. He's gotten better. Against [Texas] Tech, he played really well. He played really well against TCU too. Does he have a lot of knockdowns? Yes, he does. Is he tenacious? Yes, he is. This always goes back to, 'Who does he remind you of?' I said he was a better [Tyler] Biadasz. We [Dallas] took Biadasz out of Wisconsin...he's better than him. And Biadasz is starting in the NFL. He's going to play for ten years...if he stays healthy."
