Zach Frazier Named Preseason First Team All-American by Athlon Sports

Another preseason honor for the Mountaineer center.

West Virginia offensive lineman Zach Frazier was selected to the 2023 Athlon Sports Preseason All-America First Team.

Frazier helped pave the way for a rushing attack that averaged 171.5 yards a game, earning an All-Big 12 Conference selection.

Frazier allowed just one sack on the year while registering 51 knockdowns and 38 great blocks. Arguably his best game of the season came in the road win over Virginia Tech, where he collected nine knockdowns to pave the way for the Mountaineer rushing attack which accumulated 218 yards on the night.

During an interview with the media at the NFL Combine, former WVU wide receiver Bryce Ford-Wheaton tabbed Frazier as someone everyone will be talking about in the 2024 NFL Draft.

"Zach Frazier is one of the most dominant players I've ever played with. The most physical player, the toughest guy. He's everything. He could have came out this year and been a good draft pick but he went back to school. I bet y'all already know about him. But next year, around this time, he's going to be talked about very highly."
