Frazier Tabbed as a Top 50 Prospect & 'Day 1 Starter' in the NFL

A lot of respect is being shown to the former Mountaineer center.

West Virginia's Zach Frazier is widely regarded as one of the best centers in the 2024 NFL Draft, alongside Oregon's Jackson Powers-Johnson.

While Frazier may be at the top of most offensive line coach's boards across the NFL, it doesn't necessarily guarantee that he will be a first-round pick. Centers will occasionally get drafted in the first, but typically starting coming off the board on day two.

Frazier is inching closer to becoming fully cleared after suffering a leg injury in the regular season finale at Baylor and if he can get clearance from the doctors ahead of this month's NFL Combine, he'll have the opportunity to increase his draft stock.

As it sits now, Frazier ranks as the 37th-best overall prospect in this year's draft, according to Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network.

"Frazier is a very physical center with average size and length. In the pass game, he is quick out of his stance, plays with a wide, firm base and immediately anchors. He has the lateral quickness to redirect and mirror while playing with excellent eyes/awareness. He will occasionally get overaggressive, duck his head and put himself in a tough spot, but he’s athletic enough to recover. In the run game, he locks on with strong hands, rolls his hips and uproots defenders. He is quick to the second level and adjusts well in space. He is a bulldog, collecting one knockdown after another to finish plays. Frazier was a four-time state wrestling champion in high school and he carries that tenacity over to the football field. He will be a Day 1 starter and tempo setter for the team that drafts him."
