Wednesday afternoon, the Denver Broncos signed former West Virginia receiver David Sills to the practice squad.

Sills spent the last two seasons with the Giants and recorded the bulk of his production last season, recording 11 receptions for 106 yards in 13 games. Seven of his 11 catches were for first downs.

Sills has been with the Giants organization since September of 2019 after signing with the Buffalo Bills as a free agent following the 2019 NFL Draft.

In 2020 he tested positive for COVID-19 in the offseason before suffering a broken foot in training camp, then later contracting COVID again late in the year, ending his season.

Sills spent one season at West Virginia before transferring to JUCO to play quarterback but returned to WVU for two more seasons. The two-time Biletnikoff Award semi-finalist recorded 1,996 receiving yards on 123 receptions and 33 touchdowns in two years for the Mountaineers.
