Safety Jason Cross Commits to West Virginia

Friday evening, 2024 defensive back Jason Cross, out of the Hill District in Pittsburgh, announced on Instagram his commitment to the West Virginia University football program.
The Bishop Canevin High School product chose the Mountaineers over his other two finalists Syracuse and Michigan State, while also holding offers from Kentucky, Penn State, Boston College, Iowa State, Temple, Texas A&M, Maryland, Akron, Virginia Tech, Bowling Green, Marshall, UConn, Toledo, Kent State, Central Michigan, Miami (OH) and Eastern Michigan.
Cross' pledge to the Mountaineers marks the second of the day following defensive end Makai Byerson (VA), the 17th commitment overall and the fourth defensive back of the 2024 class, joining Romanas Frederique, Israel Bruce, and Keelan Flowe.
