Apex Legends Neon Network Collection Event brings Valkyrie her Prestige Skin

  • The Neon Network Collection Event will be run from July 25th until August 8th.
  • The newest Collection Event features Valkyrie’s Prestige skin, an evolving three-stage cosmetic.
  • Players will also be able to unlock cosmetics throughout the event using Compute Nodes in the Battle Royale mode.

The Apex Legends Neon Network Collection Event is set to help end Season 17 as it starts on July 25th and ends on August 8th, just before Season 18 starts. Like all Collection Events it features 24 different cosmetics that you can earn in order to unlock the newest Mythic, the Valkyrie Prestige Skin: Apex Interceptor. Here’s everything coming in the Neon Network Collection Event.

Loba’s Story Continues

When Loba was introduced way back in Season 5, Apex Legends had a season-long narrative experience you could unlock each week to play in a PvE mode. It seems that something similar is coming with the Neon Network Collection Event. It was teased in the trailer for Kill Code and continues on July 21st with a Thief’s Bane.

Apex Legend’s describes it as, “After biding her time, Loba’s hunt continues. Become the wolf and enter her story yourself as you breach a facility that may have started the interruption to her childhood.”

Neon Network Node Tracker Takeover

Most Collection Events come with a free reward tracker that you unlock over the course of the event by completing challenges in the battle royale mode. The Neon Network Collection Event continues this trend, but you’ll have to put in a little more leg work.

In the non-competitive battle royale mode you’ll traverse the map and look for the optimal spot to connect to and hack into compute nodes. Doing this will get you points that you can use to buy cosmetics in a special shop. They include a new Loba Skin, a R-301 Skin, thematic packs for three Legends and more.

Valkyrie Prestige Skin: Apex Interceptor

Like all Collection Events the biggest draw is the new Mythic Cosmetic and the 24 others you must collect in order to unlock it. Some of the cosmetics include; Lifeline and a P2020, Ballistic and a Flatline, Gibraltar and a Havoc and, Ash and a Volt. All of the skins are cyberpunk and neon themed.

But Valkyrie’s Apex Interceptor Mythic Skin is the big draw of the event. It’s the first of the Prestige Skins to come with its own custom dive trail that if unlocked, you’ll be able to use on any Legend in the game.

The Neon Network Collection Event drops on July 25th and finishes on August 8th. If you want to pick up the Valkyrie Prestige skin, check out our guide on how to best get Heirloom Shards.
