The Call of Duty League is as competitive as it has ever been. Any team can pull out wins at any moment. The standings have fluctuated all season, with two teams starting to pull away from the pack.

Having the No.1 seed doesn't guarantee you anything. We saw a No.9 seed win Major 1 (New York Subliners), a No.6 seed win Major 2 (Atlanta FaZe), and a No.3 seed win Major 3 (Toronto Ultra). Meaning this - any team that's playing has a chance to make it to the finals.

The best way to rank these teams is to separate them by tiers. Below is where each team in the Call of Duty League is ranked and what tier they're placed in.

These are subject to change as each team makes adjustments and roster changes.

Tier S:

These are the teams that are going to be fighting for Championships in every Major going forward and will have the best chance at winning the Call of Duty League this year.

Toronto Ultra: After coming off of a dominating Major 3 performance, Ultra has to be sitting atop the leaderboard. From top to bottom, this team has proven to be a force in the CDL. Adding Charlie "Hicksy" Hicks has been a game-changer to pair with Rookie of the Year favorite Thomas "Scrappy" Ernst.

Atlanta FaZe: Every player on FaZe has the chance to pop off and carry the team to a Championship. Even if they're not playing their best CoD, they're still better than half the Call of Duty League. Their dominance in SnD, combined with their prowess in the respawn, puts them neck and neck with Toronto.

Tier A:

These are the teams that could play spoiler at any given point. They might not be the favorites but will be there at the end, making life difficult for other teams.

OpTic Texas: A team that has had an odd year but still finds themselves fighting for a Championship is this crazy good OpTic team. They've had a plethora of roster moves and seem to have found the right mix and sit in a tier of their own right beneath two heavyweights. They're not quite in the mix for the best team in the CDL, and they're much more well-rounded than the teams below them.

Tier B:

These are the teams that are still competing at a high level. With a few minor adjustments, they could be top-tier contenders in the end.

Boston Breach: They've shown they can hang with the best of them. Boston took down Ultra in the Major 3 qualifiers and then took them to a game five in the Winners Bracket. With Ben "Beans" McMellon getting his first LAN Tournament under his belt, Boston could be a team to carry the torch going forward.

Los Angeles Thieves: They're either really hot or really cold. The Thieves can beat anyone, proving to do just that this year. But the constant ups and downs keep them out of the tier above. If they can get back to winning consistently as they did towards the end of last year, we could see them fight their way to another Major win.

Seattle Surge: A team that's been up and down due to their early SnD woes is starting to hit its stride at the right time. Sitting No.7 in the CDL Standings, Surge has taken those woes and left them in the review mirror, being one of the better SnD teams as of late. If they can continue their strong showings in the respawns as well, anyone with Amer "Pred" Zulbeari on their team has a fighting chance.

Tier C:

These teams have shown hope either early on in the year or are beginning to pick up steam. They have the talent but aren't putting it all together when it matters.

New York Subliners: They've received a ton of love all year after winning Major 1. But since then, it's been very disappointing. Having one of the best rosters in the CDL, it's surprising to see them have so many struggles in the past two Majors. Yes, they had travel struggles during Major 2, but what's the excuse for Major 3?

Vegas Legion: Here's a team that's on the come-up after struggling early in the year. Being labeled as "just an SnD" team, the Legion proved that they could be dangerous in the respawn game as well. Adding Eli "Standy" Bentz to replace Brendan "2ReaL" Stockdale prior to Major 4 gives this team an interesting outlook for each upcoming map.

Tier D:

These teams are downright struggling to get anything going. They've either fallen off or have been sitting at the bottom of the barrel this year.

Minnesota RØkkr: Man, have the RØkkr fallen off since a hot start to the season. After carrying the No.1 seed into Group Play of Major 1 and getting top 3 in Major 2, they couldn't squeak out a single win in Major 3. They made a roster change to go from Dillon "Attach" Price to Kevin "Fame" Bonanno is an interesting one, and we will have to see if this plays out in their favor.

Florida Mutineers: They had two new players play their first matches on LAN this season in Major 3, and honestly, it was a positive turn. They've consistently struggled to put games away this year, but Major 3 had plenty of positives to take from it. They still have to prove themselves if they want to get out of Tier D, but they can only go up from here.

Los Angeles Guerrillas: To say that this season has been disappointing is an understatement. So much more was expected out of the Guerrillas. They replaced three of their starters with Challenger players, and all things considered, they've held their own pretty well this year. More needs to come from Alec "Arcitys" Sanderson, who's considered one of the better players in the CDL. They're not out of this yet and are in the mix to make the eighth seed, but if they want to stay in the mix, they need to get more consistent in every aspect.

London Royal Ravens: This team has been in a blender all year. It seems like more of a mental thing at this point. The Royal Ravens are filled with talent, led by Obaid "Asim" Asim, but they haven't been able to clutch up games. They'll get a lead and let it slip from their grasp. Unfortunately, this season looks chalked for them, and even if they were to make any changes, they're likely just fighting for pride at this point.
