In the middle of Championship Sunday, the Boston Breach Captain, Anthony "Methodz" Zinni, announced in front of the live crowd that he will be retiring from competing in the Call of Duty League and will focus on content.

Boston Breach made their way to round three in the elimination bracket but was defeated by OpTic Texas 3-0.

WATCH: BOSTON BREACH METHODZ RETIRES

After Scump retired from competing after the first weekend of Major 2, OpTic bounced back and made a successful run. Boston will look to do the same as they prepare for life after Methodz, who was the heart and soul of the team.

The Breach currently sits 8th in the Call of Duty League standings as we await to find out who will replace Methodz in their starting lineup.

It has been a pleasure watching Methodz compete, and we are all excited for his journey into the content creation world. Here is how the Call of Duty League community reacted as Methodz announced his retirement.
