The first match of the new Call of Duty League season is set for the Boston Breach to take on the Atlanta FaZe.

FaZe is coming off a phenomenal season last year but fell just short of taking home the title, losing to the Los Angeles Thieves. They will try and get off to a hot start early to get rid of the bad taste left in their mouths. FaZe is returning three of their four players, replacing Alec Sanderson (Arcitys) with Austin Liddicoat (Slasher), and keeping much of their core together to remain a strong unit.

Last year, a year filled with triumph, FaZe will be out for blood after dominating in CDL points and landing commanding wins. Ending the year how they did should be enough motivation for them to leave the first match victorious.

The Breach were a decent squad, finishing sixth overall in the standings during the regular season last year. They couldn't put it all together in the playoffs, getting bounced to the elimination round by the Thieves first in the first match and then losing shortly after to the Toronto Ultra to end their season. Like FaZe, Breach is returning three of their core players and should improve on a so-so season. Being able to execute in tight situations will quickly tell us what type of team they will be this year.

While it was an up-and-down season last year, the Breach showed great potential, finishing second in Major II and third in Major IV. If they can clean up the little mistakes, they could be off to a hot start in the new year.

The exciting match will start on Friday, December 2, at 3:00 pm est. To watch each game, the Call of Duty League will stream them live on their Twitch channel.
