How to Earn All Modern Warfare 3 Mastery Camos
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launches later this week, and with it comes a ton of new content. Something that every player looks forward to each year is the mastery camos, and the grind to earn them. The Mastery Camos work slightly different this year compared to previous Call of Duty titles, so here’s everything you need to know before you load up on Friday.
Every MW3 Mastery Camo
Modern Warfare 3 will have 12 mastery camos. This includes camos for both Multiplayer and Zombies, and the Modern Warfare 2 weapons that are carrying over to MW3 will also receive the camos.

How to Unlock MW3 Multiplayer Mastery Camos
Each mastery camo in Modern Warfare 3 will have a different set of challenges to unlock. Here’s how to unlock all of the Multiplayer camos.
Call of Duty
Gilded
- Complete all Base Camo Challenges for the weapon.
- Complete an individual Gilded Challenge tailored to the specific weapon.
Forged
- Complete the Gilded Camo Challenge for the weapon.
- Complete additional Gilded Camo challenges for weapons in the same category.
- Complete an individual Forged Challenge tailored to the specific weapon.
Priceless
- Complete the Forged Camo challenge for the specific weapon.
- Complete a total of 37 Forged Camo challenges for MW3 weapons.
- Complete an individual Forged Challenge tailored to the specific weapon.
Interstellar
- Complete a total of 37 Priceless Camo challenges for MW3 weapons.
How to Unlock MW3 Zombies Mastery Camos
Again, you’ll have to complete specific challenges in Zombies to unlock the different mastery camos.
Call of Duty
Golden Enigma
- Complete all four Zombie Base Camo Challenges for the specific weapon.
- Complete the Golden Ivory Camo Challenge: Usually, a certain number of Zombie kills and a successful Extract with the weapon in a single deployment.
Zircon Scale
- Complete the Golden Enigma Camo challenge for the specific weapon.
- Complete additional Golden Enigma Camo challenges for weapons in the same category.
- Complete the Zircon Scale Camo Challenge: Usually, a certain number of Zombie kills with the weapon while it is Pack-A-Punched.
Serpentinite
- Complete the Zircon Scale Camo challenge for the specific weapon.
- Complete a total of 37 Zircon Scale Camo challenges for MW3 weapons.
- Complete the Serpentinite Camo Challenge: Usually, a set number of Special or Elite Zombie Kills with the weapon.
Borealis
- Complete a total of 37 Serpentinite Camo challenges for MW3 weapons.
How to Unlock MW3 Zombies Mastery Camos for MW2 Weapons
Modern Warfare 3 will also introduce brand new mastery camos for the Modern Warfare 2 weapons, available only in Zombies. This adds a brand new element to the camo grind, and will give Zombies fans a lot of content.
Call of Duty
Golden Ivory
- Complete all four Zombie Base Camo Challenges for the specific weapon.
- Complete the Golden Ivory Camo Challenge: Usually, a certain number of Zombie kills and a successful Extract with the weapon in a single deployment.
Spinel Husk
- Complete the Gold Camo challenge for the specific weapon (MP Mastery).
- Complete additional Gold Camo challenges for weapons in the same category (MP Mastery).
- Complete the Spinel Husk Camo Challenge: Usually, a certain number of Zombie kills with the weapon while it is Pack-A-Punched.
Arachnida
- Complete the Platinum Camo challenge for the specific weapon (MP Mastery).
- Complete a total of 51 Platinum Camo challenges for MW2 weapons (MP Mastery).
- Complete the Arachnida Camo Challenge: Usually, a set number of Special or Elite Zombie Kills with the weapon.
Bioluminescent
- Complete a total of 32 Arachnida Camo challenges for MW2 weapons.
