MW3 Season 2 Roadmap: The Walking Dead Operators, New Maps, and More
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone’s Season 1 update was a success. With the long awaited addition of Ranked Play, along with new maps and weapons, players are loving both the MW3 and Warzone experiences right now. However, even more is coming next week, as Season 2 drops. Here’s everything you need to know, including the release date, The Walking Dead Operators, and all of the new content.
MW3 Season 2 Release Date

Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 will launch on February 7, 2024. The update will go live at 12pm ET, and Playstation players will be able to preload at 11am ET.
The Walking Dead Event

Season 2 of Modern Warfare 3 will see a new collaboration with The Walking Dead. Players will be able to get Operators of characters from the hit TV show, Rick Grimes and Michonne. The Walking Dead: Fear the Living event won’t arrive until February 28th.
New Weapons
Four new weapons will arrive in Modern Warfare 3 with the Season 2 update:
- BP50 (Assault Rifle)
- RAM-9 (Submachine Gun)
- SOA Subverter (Battle Rifle)
- Soulrender (Melee)
In addition to the new weapons, there will also be a number of new Aftermarket Parts available:
- JAK Limb Ripper underbarrel chainsaw
- JAK Glassless Optic
- JAK Burnout (Holger 26)
- JAK Tyrant 762 Kit (Longbow)
- JAK Backsaw Kit (Holger 556)
- JAK Outlaw-277 Kit (BAS-B)
- JAK Maglift Kit (Haymaker)
New Maps & Modes
Three new 6v6 maps will be coming to Modern Warfare 3 in Season 2, with another, Das Haus, coming as a remake from COD: Vanguard.

- Das Haus (6v6)
A number of new modes will also arrive in Season 2, with three coming at launch, and more coming mid-season.

New Vest
There will also be a brand new Vest coming in Season 2. The Ninja Vest will eliminate footstep audio, and make you immune to movement reduction effects. Perfect for players who like to run and gun.
