More info on Modern Warfare 3’s Season One has just dropped, get the full details on what to expect from MW3's first season

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now officially a week old and with Season One just around the corner, Sledgehammer Games have just dropped a lot of new info. The four maps coming to Modern Warfare 3 in Season One have been revealed, along with some more information on the new Warzone map, Urzikstan.

New MW3 Season One Maps

Season One of Modern Warfare 3 will bring four new multiplayer maps. Three of those maps will be 6v6, with two available at launch, and the final map will be for the new game mode returning in Season One, Gunfight.

Meat [Season One Launch, 6v6]

Meat MW3

“Become the best butcher on the block in this compact map centered around the East Bay Meats slaughterhouse.”

Meat appears to be a close quarters focused map catered to SMG players. This will be a breath of fresh air for SMG players in Modern Warfare 3 right now, with most of the current maps catering more to Assault Rifle players.

Greece [Season One Launch, 6v6]

Greece MW3

“Prove you’re no mere mortal in this medium-sized Mediterranean-inspired Map based on a coastal town.”

As a medium-sized map, we can expect Greece to have some long lanes for AR players to hold down, along with some buildings for more close quarters combat.

Rio [Season One Reloaded, 6v6]

Rio MW3

“Take in the bright colors, tight quarters, and elegant streets in a fight through an upscale shopping center.”

Rio looks incredible, and again, appears to be more built around SMG players, so it seems like Sledgehammer Games are trying to balance out the mapset a bit more.

Training Facility [Season One Launch, 2v2]

Training Facility MW3

“Face off in a training course complete with a central shoot house and plentiful climbing opportunities.”

Training Facility is the new Gunfight map coming to Modern Warfare 3 in Season One. Gunfight was one of the most fun game modes in Modern Warfare 2019, and many fans will be happy to see it return.
