Even though the New York Subliners didn't play today, they were able to clinch their spot in the Call of Duty League Champs bracket, with the Vegas Legion losing to Atlanta FaZe.

It was all but certain that New York was going to be at Champs. The loaded roster with KiSMET, HyDra, Skyz, and Priestahh has been phenomenal all year. They started off the MW2 season with a win at Major 1 but have been up and down throughout the year. The immense amount of talent on the roster has the potential to compete with any team and will be a dangerous one wherever they end up being seeded at Champs, as long as they can find a consistent form of play.

New York has a tough road ahead in the Major 5 Qualifiers, with the Los Angeles Guerrillas, Seattle Surge, and Boston Breach on the schedule. Having 235 CDL points, they could still catch the Los Angeles Thieves (255) and Toronto Ultra (265) in the standings, meaning we could see a much different Champs bracket than what we currently see once Major 5 comes to an end.

They were a lock in our preview of what teams will be the next to clinch a spot in Champs. While their seeding is far from locked in, the next two weeks will be crucial if they want to out-seed two of the best teams in the CDL.

Either way, the final weekend of the regular season will keep things interesting and exciting for players and fans, with Champs just around the corner.
