The two teams competing at the Finals are T1 Esports from the LCK and Weibo Gaming from LPL.

T1 defeated China's JD Gaming to make it to the Grand Finals, a shocking result as JD Gaming was favored in that match. T1 had a rough season since star player Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok was dealing with an injury. T1 still pushed through, however, and is now in the Finals.

Will There Be a Special Performance at the Worlds Finals?

Aside from watching the two best teams in the world fight for the top spot, the Worlds Finals is also when we get a special performance. The Opening Ceremony will take place on November 19 at 12 AM PST.

There is an “impressive array” of artists and performances planned for the event. The first is Heartsteel, a virtual pop group that includes champions Kayn, Ezreal, Sett, Yone, K’Sante, and Aphelio. They will be performing “PARANOIA” on stage.

Baekhyun is a K-pop performer that has performed around the globe. He is a member of the K-pop group EXO but has been recognized on his own for his vocals.

Cal Scruby is a rapper from Los Angeles that is known for his witty humor. He has performed for a wide range of traditional sports events after becoming well known for his songwriting and performing.

OZI is a performer from Los Angeles who became famous in the Mandarin music scene. His debut album OZI: The Album was nominated six times at the Golden Melody Awards.

Tobi Lou is known for his blend of hip-hop with unique melodies. His single, “Buff Baby,” has been a huge hit as he continues to grow in the music scene beyond Chicago.

NewJeans will perform the 2023 League of Legends World Championship anthem “GODS.” This will be accompanied by some original choreography from the K-pop group right on the World Final stage, accompanied by wild technical effects.
