Best tera shard farm guide with Blissey’s tera raid Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
  • Blissey will be in Tera Raid battles from 00:00 UTC on October 20th through 23:59 UTC on October 22nd.
  • Blissey will have a random tera typing meaning you should bring a Pokémon which covers all weaknesses.
  • The two best counters for Blissey are Iron Hands and Ursaluna.

Pokémon has heard the prayers of the community and has brought back the fan-favorite Blissey tera raid event. The Blissey event is especially regarded within the competitive player base due to it being the most efficient way to acquire Tera Shards, the item required to change the tera typing of any Pokémon.

Blissey will only be available for a few days, so be sure to be ready when they appear! Blissey will be in Tera Raid battles from 00:00 UTC on October 20th through 23:59 UTC on October 22nd.

Blissey tera raid

Unlock the High-Level Raids

The Blissey’s you will face in this event can only be found in tera raids rated as 5-star difficulty. In order to unlock 4-star raids you must first obtain 7 gym badges and to find 5-star raids you will need to finish the main story of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

Blissey Tera Raid Rewards

Unlike most common tera raid events, the main goal for defeating Blissey is to gather as many resources as possible. Blissey’s reward list contains high amounts of Tera Shards and EXP items.

The amount and probability of each type of tera shard to be dropped is dependent on the tera typing the Blissey is featuring so if you are looking for a specific type make sure to enter raids with the respective typing.

Using Glimmering Charm to get more Tera Shards

Where to find Glimmering Charm

The Teal Mask DLC has introduced another way for players to farm Tera Shards more efficiently. Having the item in your inventory will increase the amount of Tera Shards gained in each raid by a fixed amount depending on the level of the raid.

  • 4-star tera raids: x5 Tera Shards
  • 5-star tera raids: x10 Tera Shards
  • 6-star tera raids: x12 Tera Shards

Since all Blissey raids featured in this event are locked to the 5-star difficulty you will receive ten extra shards per run if you have the Glimmering Charm. To unlock this item you must catch all 200 Pokemon in either Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet and visit Jacq outside of Mossui Town at Reveler's Road, speak to him and you’ll receive your Glimmering Charm.

Blissey’s Set-Up

Blissey will have a fixed move pool of Heal Pulse, Last Resort, Soft-Boiled, and Seismic Toss. None of them should be much trouble to you however what you should watch out for is the tera typing featured in each raid, having Pokémon that can counter these weaknesses is the key to expediting the farming process during the event.

The Best Counters for Blissey

Blissey has a lot of great counters considering its weak attacks however having 2-3 different typings on your Pokémon is key to making sure you don’t need to pivot while searching for raids. Below you will find two Pokémon that will facilitate your tera shard farming:

Iron Hands

Here are all the basic details you need to know at a glance to get your Iron Hands prepared.

  • Tera Type: Fighting (can be any)
  • Nature: Adamant (Attack Up, Special Attack Down)
  • EV Spread: HP 252, Attack 252, Defense 4
  • Ability: Quark Drive
  • Held Item: Booster Energy
  • Move set:
    • Belly Drum
    • Drain Punch
    • Ice Punch
    • Thunder Punch

Start the raid by using Belly Drum, this will raise your Attack stat to the maximum capacity and reduce your health drastically but since Blissey doesn’t deal much damage you do not need to worry about dying early. After setting up all you need to do is choose the most optimal attack move according to the tera typing of Blissey, if you happen to get low in health use Drain Punch and repeat the process until you defeat Blissey.

Ursaluna

Here are all the basic details you need to know at a glance to get your Ursaluna prepared.

  • Tera Type: Normal
  • Nature: Adamant (Attack Up, Special Attack Down)
  • EV Spread: HP 252, Attack 252, Defense 4
  • Ability: Guts
  • Held Item: Flame Orb
  • Moveset:
    • Belly Drum
    • Facade
    • Crunch
    • Headlong Rush

Using Ursaluna is similar to Iron Hands, raise your attack stat by using Belly Drum, and after doing so your Flame Orb will activate meaning you will also gain additional attack from the ability Guts. Once you are set up primarily use Facade which should either OHKO or get Blissey to a sliver of health. If Blissey has the Ghost tera type use Crunch instead and you should also easily beat it.
