How to Catch All Version Exclusive Pokemon in Scarlet & Violet The Teal Mask DLC

The newest expansion for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet has introduced several new Pokémon however some of them cannot be captured depending on your game

Spoiler warning for The Teal Mask content ahead. If you don’t want to learn details about the DLC make sure to finish it before reading this article

The first half of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero has launched worldwide and just like the base game, there are certain Pokémon that are exclusive to either Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet and players will need to trade in order to complete their Pokedex.

The Teal Mask DLC pokémon exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet

Here is the list of Pokémon from the Kitakami Pokédex that can only be found in Pokémon Scarlet as well as how to find them (note that most Pokémon can be found in various places but we have chosen one specific location to facilitate the search):

  • Cramorant

Cramorant can be found near the Kitakami Wilds Lake at any time of the day.

  • Gligar

Gligar can be found in the Paradise Barrens at any time of the day.

  • Gliscor

In order to get a Gliscor you must equip Gligar with a Razor Fang to it and have it level up during the night time.

The Teal Mask DLC pokémon exclusive to Pokémon Violet

Here is the list of Pokémon from the Kitakami Pokédex that can only be found in Pokémon Violet as well as how to find them (note that most Pokémon can be found in various places but we have chosen one specific location to facilitate the search):

  • Morpeko

Morpeko can be found in the Paradise Barrens at any time of the day.

  • Aipom

Aipom can be found to the southeast of Mossui town at any time of the day.

  • Ambipom

In order to get an Ambipom you must level it up and have the move Double Hit learned.

How to get version exclusive Pokémon from other games

As mentioned earlier the only way to acquire these Pokémon if you do not have the game they are present is through trading. If you don’t know someone who can help you get these Pokémon we recommend using the Link Trade online feature. Content creator Austin John Plays has popularized a spreadsheet with certain codes that can be used to better navigate the online trading jungle. Here are the codes for each Pokémon:

  • If you want Gligar and have an Aipom to trade use the code 0207-0190
  • If you want Aipom and have a Gligar to trade use the code 0190-0207
  • If you want Clamorant and have a Morpeko to trade use the code 0845-0877
  • If you want Morpeko and have a Clamorant to trade use the code 0877-0845
