Teamfight Tactics 13.20 B Patch Notes: Multicaster nerfs, Scooped Weapons disabled, Fiora Buffed

An Extensive look at all the major changes in the 13.20 hotfix that rolled out on Thursday the 12th of October.

As could be the case with any major changes to a game on a short time frame, Riot Games made a massive change in Teamfight Tactics Patch 13.20 in which they reworked the Multicaster trait to bring it more in line with other powerful traits. Since the start of the TFT Set 9.5 update, Multicasters have not been particularly useful but with the patch that just dropped on Wednesday the 11th, Multicasters went from unplayable to only playable.

With lobbies being dominated by Multicaster compositions, the balance team at Riot worked quickly to come to a solution which was a BPatch hotfix to the trait and other outliers that have gone live on Thursday, October 12th.

Teamfight Tactics set 9.5 patch notes

On top of a hit to the Multicaster trait, Twisted Fate has taken the fall as the Multicaster being hit alongside the trait receiving a significant nerf to his Stacked Deck explosion damage. As for the other nerf in the patch, Nilah who has been a menace since her debut in the mid-set update is receiving two nerfs in the form to a damage ratio on her cleave and a nerf to her stacking attack speed.

The BPatch isn't just filled with nerfs, three champions will receive buffs. Azir is getting a small attack speed buff, Fiora’s ability rework hit her a bit to hard so she is getting some defense buffs to her armor and magic resist and finally, Kai’Sa is getting a staring mana buff.

As for Augments, there a couple of changes with the biggest one being the disabling of Scoped Weapons which has been an augment that went from not being picked at all to being a free top four thanks to champions like Nilah and Mordekaiser who can abuse the extra range a little too well. The other two augment touches are to Swain’s Demonflare augment as it has proven to be a bit too powerful for being a gold augment and finally there is Petrciite Shackles which will do slightly less damage to Noxus champions.

And the final big change comes in a nerf to the Radiant version of Redemption, Absolution. The item has been overperforming and is being nerfed in the health and damage reduction departments.
