The Turtle Troop vs Oxygen match saw Turtle Troop win their first series in the second split of the VALORANT Challengers League after a thrilling 2-1 series.

Overall, the series was very close between both teams. Oxygen were viewed as the slight favorite going into the Turtle Troop vs Oxygen VALORANT match. However, Turtle Troop came to Haven with a strong plan against Oxygen. While Oxygen’s Andrew “verno” Maust was the top performing player on map one, Turtle Troop’s team play came out on top in a narrow 13-11 win.
While Oxygen bounced back on map two, thanks to Verno, it was not enough to ultimately take the final map against Turtle Troop. While Oxygen had the series win in their grasp, they could not close out an 8-4 lead as Turtle Troop snatched game three from their grasps with a 13-10 comeback.

Turtle Troop play Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker's new team Disguised next week.
With this victory, Turtle Troop are now 1-1 in the VALORANT Challengers League and will look towards next week against Disguised to acquire their second win. After a tough 0-2 sweep against M80, the orgless Turtle Troop have an opportunity to grab more wins and make it past the group stage if they continue to show strong play like today. It will be interesting to see if they can continue this resilience throughout the rest of the VALORANT Challengers League group stages with this new lineup.
As for Oxygen, this loss puts them tied with Turtle Troop at 1-1 in Group A. After today’s close 1-2 loss, Oxygen will look to bounce back against TSM next week.
