XDefiant has gained a lot of popularity since it was first announced, with many fans excited for the full release of the game. While that is still unclear, players can get their hands on XDefiant once again this week. Today, XDefiant announced that there will be a public test session on Thursday, September 28th. Here’s everything you need to know about the public test session and how you can get involved.

What is a Public Test Session?

Public test sessions allow players to play XDefiant, and let them gain feedback and information on how the game is running. This is a way for XDefiant to test new features and configurations and get valuable feedback from players before rolling out those changes. XDefiant says that public test servers will be an integral part of the game post-launch, so they’re trialing the system this week.

When is the XDefiant Public Test Session?

XDefiant’s public test session will take place on Thursday, September 28th starting at 12pm PT and ending at 6pm PT the same day. You can preload right now via the Ubisoft Connect app on PC, but the test is limited to PC only.

Not long ago, XDefiant gave us an update on the release of the game, and hinted that we are looking towards a launch in October. With them ready to trial the public test servers, this can only mean good things, and give us hope that we will get a release soon. “Having millions of people play your game long before it’s ready is not normal.” Said Mark Rubin. “Not being afraid to show an unfinished game to millions of people with all its flaws is not normal. These were real tests and not just marketing events. So, when it comes to when we will release, the real answer is “as soon as we can.” And we will continue to update you with more info when we have it.”

This public test session only reiterates what Rubin said just a few weeks ago, so XDefiant fans can be hopeful for a release soon.
