Adam Carriker Makes The Case For Caitlin Clark To Unblock Him On Twitter

Will she hear his pleas?

In conversation with Chad Leistikow of The Des Moines Register and USA Today Sports Network for his Bleav podcast The Big 10 Show, former Big 12 defensive end-turned-longtime NFL pro Adam Carriker pleaded his case to Hawkeyes superstar point guard Caitlin Clark, begging the All-American mainstay to unblock him from Twitter/X.

"I've said actually positive things about Caitlin, even when I talked about her being polarizing, I really kind of said it really wasn't her fault," Carriker said. "I didn't think, again, she was willing to take that from Angel Reese. So if you can take things, I'm more willing to let you dish it. And I said basically, she could have avoided it running into the fan."

"I discovered last week that she blocked me on Twitter, which I thought was interesting, because I didn't even know she knew who I was," Carriker continued. "So what are your thoughts on her blocking me on Twitter? And is there any way you could let her know that I'm actually just a big fan of hers and I got five daughters, okay? They all play basketball and they all either play with boys or against boys or older divisions. And I've actually been showing them clips of Caitlin because I have one daughter, Dakota, she wasn't excited about playing with boys and against boys."

"I had discovered that Caitlin had played on a boys team when she was younger, and I was kind of telling Dakota about it," Carriker explained. "I was showing highlight tapes, and now Dakota's all excited, and now she's out there. She's basically on the wrestling team now because she's always fighting over the ball and [ending] up on the ground there in elementary school. But what are your thoughts on her blocking me? And then let her know I got a number of love and respect for [her]. If I didn't, I wouldn't say so."
